 Dear Islamic brothers and sisters! We have a great day ahead of us. A day in which Allah's Messenger (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) was born on 20th April in 570 AD. 

The recitation of Durood shareef lifts up our ranks in both worlds, eradicates poverty and hunger from the society. Durood Shareef is the panacea of all ills, troubles and calamities. Reciting Durood Shareef in the maximum number is a sure means of Allah (عزوجل) granting blessings, peace and prosperity. We can receive all the benefits in this world and utmost gain in the next world when we recite Durood Shareef on the Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) in excessive number. If the people are involved in difficulties then they must recite countless number of Durood Shareef hopping Almighty Allah will eradicate difficulties and troubles. In this sense there are lots if Hadiths mentioned in tbe books of hadiths. 

As we know, a new coronavirus disease is spreading rapidly across the world. The virus has been detected in most of the countries. These Countries and Territories around the world have reported more than 23 lakhs confirmed cases of the coronavirus COVID-19 that came into existence from Wuhan, China, and led to the deaths of more than 150000. This epidemic disease has also invaded our country. WHO reported a total of 16116 COVID-19 cases, (including 77 foreign nationals) in 32 states/union territories as of 19 April 2020.

Though, there is no specific time to recite the Durood Shareef. We can recite when do we want. But I hope it will be more benefited for us on the occasion of the holy Prophet Muhammad birthday (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم).

Since we are facing a new coronavirus disease across the world, we must recite the Durood Shareef on the Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) and pray in the court of Allah the exalted. Because Allaah does not reject the Du'a which is offered by the Durood Sharif. It has even been mentioned in one hadeeth that if we recite Durood shareef after the Salah and pray in the court of Allah, Almighty Allah accept our Du'as. In this regard, Imam Tirmidhi reported that once the Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) was sitting in the Masjid when a person entered to perform his Salaah. After the Salaah, the person made Du'a to Almighty Allah in the following manner, "O Allah! Please forgive me and have mercy on me". On hearing this, the Prophet Muhammad ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) stated, "O Reciter of the Salaah! You have been extremely hasty. When you complete the Salaah, you must first praise Almighty Allah according to His Magnificence and _*then read the Durood Shareef.*_ Only then should you beg Almighty Allah for what you desire".Soon after this another person entered the Masjid. When that person completed his Salaah he began to praise Almighty Allah and then *recited the Durood Shareef.* Seeing this, the Prophet Muhammad ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said to the person, "O Reciter of the Salaah, ask, for certainly your Du'a will be answered" (Tirmidhi)  

In the last, I urge you all to spend the time you have, reciting Durood Shareef and introspecting over how we can fix our condition. Allah (عزوجل), provided us such an auspicious day so on the occasion of this significant day, we should make sure to take full advantage of it. We should remember Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ by engaging in dhikr, recite Durood shareef in maximum number. We hope Allah will eradicate covid-19 from the world by engaging in Durood Shareef. 

In the last, I request to you all to pray for people who are with COVID-19. I hope and believe and trust in Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and his Apostle Mohammad (peace be upen him) that Allah will protect you and your family from all diseases especially Coronavirus. And my prayer now is for everyone to be safe and that there will be no more Covid-19 cases. May Allah the exalted protect everyone from epidemic disease Coronavirus and may heal all those people infected with COVID-19. (Aameen ya rabbal Aalameen)
